Yuji Itadori – Facts You Should Know

Yuji Itadori is the main protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen. He is a first-year at Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College.
Appearance
Yuji is a young man of medium height who, despite his slender appearance while dressed in baggy clothes, has a lean and muscular physique. He also has light brown eyes and spiky pink hair that is styled in an undercut (in the manga, it is brownish blonde). After consuming Sukuna’s finger, he becomes the vessel for Sukuna.
Along with his many markings, he receives a second pair of eyes that only open when Sukuna controls the body.

Personality
Yuji is a decent person who genuinely cares for not just his comrades, but everyone he sees as having their own will, regardless of how close he is to them. He is a true believer in “the importance of life,” and he would strive to ensure that others have a “proper death.” Because of this, him believes that it is morally unethical for him to take another human life, and tries to avoid any possibility of doing so unless it is a last resort.
Yuji, who is usually calm, pleasant, and polite, can become enraged quickly in the face of pure malice after experiencing firsthand the cruelty that curses can inflict, especially Mahito’s inhumane exploitation of Junpei. For the first time in his life, Yuji was so disgusted that he had a genuine urge to destroy.
Yuji’s ability to sacrifice himself for others is one of his defining qualities, inspired by his grandfather’s last words to him, “Die surrounded by others.” Despite meeting Megumi for the first time, Yuji impulsively swallowed Sukuna’s finger to exorcise the curse and save them when he and Megumi were threatened by a curse.
Abilities and Powers
Overall Skill Level: Yuji is famous for his superhuman physical abilities, earning him the nickname “The Tiger of West Junior High” before becoming a sorcerer. As a vessel, he has the exceedingly rare ability to contain Sukuna’s soul without any ill effects. This natural skill allows him to perceive the soul’s contours and lets him harm Mahito.
Superhuman Strength: Yuji possesses superhuman strength even without the use of cursed energy, as he can easily demolish walls, throw a lead ball with enough power to bend a soccer goalpost, and even throw a motorcycle. As strong as he is, especially when it comes to combat, his exceptional strength can sometimes be enhanced to even greater lengths with the use of both the Divergent Fist and the Divergent Fist. He is also cursed by the Black Flash, who makes him damage cursed spirits. Kento Nanami, a Grade 1 sorcerer, has been compared to his exceptional ability.
Enhanced Durability: Yuji’s durability surpasses the average sorcerer – he was still able to fight the special-class curse after being blown through a wall losing a hand and multiple fingers.
Yuji has shown to have excellent pace and can complete a 50-meter track in under three seconds. He’s also shown to be able to resist the attacks of all five opposing sorcerers from the Kyoto School students who attempted to kill him. In recent events, he has shown that he is quick enough to avoid Choso’s Piercing Blood, which moves at the speed of sound, demonstrating his exceptional reflexes.
Enhanced Stamina: Fitting his other superhuman capabilities, Yuji possesses a large amount of stamina and has been shown continuing to fight injuries such as a severed hand and fingers and multiple stab wounds.
Yuji is a competent learner who is both curious and committed to his studies. He’s also easy to pick up new skills, such as Satoru’s Movie Appreciation Training and Aoi Todo’s guide. He is the best cook among the first-year trio, according to Akutami. Yuji has shown that he can easily learn a new weapon.
Yuji is a professional hand-to-hand combatant who can make fast decisions and deliver powerful blows. Yuji can make a refined attack, such as stopping right before his attack hits and adjusting his strength inside his fist. Yuji is also a martial artist who practices Taido Martial Arts.
He has the ability to execute a Knee Release. This is an old martial arts technique that removes the need for starting movements. Instead of falling down, Yuji will guide himself to his opponent’s feet by releasing his knees, hips, and shoulders.
Poison Resistance: Yuji is resistant to all poisons due to his position as Sukuna’s host. Yuji can experience the poison’s pain, but he will be largely unaffected. This skill was first demonstrated during his fight with Junpei, when he was able to withstand the poison of the Moon Dregs.
Weapon Mastery: Yuji has never been trained in the use of weapons, but his physical strength and intellect allow him to quickly master one.
Cursed Energy Manipulation
The pieces of the special grade curse, Ryomen Sukuna, are where Yuji’s cursed energy comes from. He doesn’t seem to have any natural abilities, but he has shown exceptional skill in learning to harness cursed powers.
Yuji currently employs cursed energy in conjunction with his martial arts abilities and superhuman strength to bolster his attacks, enhancing their effect and enabling him to inflict curses.
Yuji’s cursed energy flows and makes a stronger second impact after he lands a punch on a goal. Initially, Yuji used Divergent Fist often, but after his fight with Aoi Todo at the Kyoto Sister-School Goodwill Event and the Kyoto third-criticism year’s of the attack, he virtually stopped using it. Yuji can now execute this attack willingly.
When a user interacts with an impact of cursed energy within 0.000001 seconds of a physical strike, a technique called Black Flash is used to produce spatial distortion. The phenomenon causes cursed strength to flash black, resulting in a stronger attack with 2.5 times the power of a standard strike. Yuji can currently perform Black Flash four times in a row and has done so nine times in total.
Binding Vows
Yuji and Sukuna have an unnamed Binding Vow. The King of Curses agreed to resurrect Yuji after his apparent death in the Cursed Womb Arc on two conditions: first, Yuji would allow Sukuna to take over his body for one minute while the cursed spirit chanted “Enchain,” and second, Yuji would forget about the agreement. Yuji was initially opposed to the Binding Pledge, pressuring Sukuna to agree not to kill or injure anyone during that minute. The boy still didn’t agree with the terms, so he had a fight with the King of Curses, agreeing to let the deal happen if he lost. Yuji was quickly defeated by Sukuna, who forced him to take the Binding Pledge.
Equipment
Slaughter Demon : A charm weapon provided by Satoru Gojo that belonged to Maki Zenin originally. It works well against curses. A special grade Finger Bearer killed Slaughter Demon.
Relationships
Yuji is devoted to his grandfather, visiting him and calling the hospital to inquire about his condition prior to his death. His grandfather’s last words about death had a profound effect on him and his perception of jujutsu and curses.
Pleasant Facts
Yuji is 173 centimeters (5’8″) tall and will continue to rise, according to Akutami.
His body fat percentage is in the single digits, despite his weight of about 80 kilograms (176 pounds).
